About the founder
The pole pivot was founded by Michelle Stanek, lifelong dancer and former art history professor. Based in New York City, she remains active in the art world by producing two major art shows at the Park Avenue Armory while balancing teaching pole, running the pole pivot business, and raising her son. Once an award-winning pole dance competitor, she now enjoys helping others reach their full creative and physical potential.
